Recorder

During simulation, the recorder continuously stores simulation data.  Frame by frame all variables values are saved to the recorder. Inside the Physolator, the recorder data is used in different ways.

The time slider is a means for moving forth and back in time. After a simulation run is stopped, you can go back to any point in time and analyse the data frame by frame.

For a selected number of variables, the plotter draws their function graph. Also the data for function graphs is read from the recorder. Usually, graphical components represent the current state of the physical system. However, in some situations it can also be useful to access historical data. The graphics below shows not only the actual position of the satellite but also its flight path. The data for the flight path is also read from the recorder.
