The ball rolls until it comes to a standstill due to rolling friction and air resistance. On the timeline below the plots you can see small large ticks representing the frame times. At these points in time, the status is calculated and displayed on the screen. The thick black tick represents a physical event: the stopping of the ball.

Note: The movies show the process in slow motion at half speed.

 

 

Now the ball pushes against a wall, bounces off and rolls back. On the time axis, two physical events (black lines) can now be seen: the impact of the ball against the wall and the stopping of the ball.
